Ingredients

  • 4 tsp loose-leaf Earl Grey tea
  • 1/2 tsp dried lavender buds
  • 1 cup hot water (200°F/93°C)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tbsp homemade vanilla syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)

Instructions

  1. For the vanilla syrup: Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add vanilla bean (or extract), remove from heat, and let cool. Strain and store in a glass jar.
