Ingredients
- 1 cup coarse ground medium-dark roast coffee
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- 4 dried figs, chopped
- 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup water (for syrup)
- Ice cubes for serving
- Optional: oat milk or almond milk for serving
Instructions
- Combine coarse ground coffee with 4 cups cold water in a large jar. Stir gently and refrigerate for 12 hours
- Toast walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant, about 5 minutes
- Combine chopped figs, toasted walnuts, honey, and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes
- Strain the fig-walnut mixture and let syrup cool completely
- Strain the cold brew through a paper filter
- For each serving, combine 1 cup cold brew with 2-3 tablespoons fig-walnut syrup
- Add ice and optional milk of choice. Stir and enjoy
