Ingredients
- 4 oz (120ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
- 3 oz (90ml) Irish whiskey
- 2 oz (60ml) hazelnut liqueur
- 4 oz (120g) mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup (30g) toasted hazelnuts, chopped
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Brew espresso or strong coffee and set aside
- In a chilled bowl, whip mascarpone, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form
- Warm two Irish coffee glasses
- Add 1 tablespoon brown sugar to each glass
- Pour 1.5 oz Irish whiskey and 1 oz hazelnut liqueur into each glass
- Add 2 oz hot coffee to each glass and stir until sugar dissolves
- Top with mascarpone cream mixture
- Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts and dust with cocoa powder
- Serve immediately
