- Matcha whisk (chasen) or electric frother
- Small bowl for matcha preparation
- Espresso machine
- Tall glass
- Ice cube tray
- Measuring spoons and cups
Ingredients
- 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 2 oz hot water (175°F/80°C)
- 1 shot espresso (1 oz)
- 4 oz cold milk of choice
- Ice cubes
- Optional: 1/2 oz vanilla syrup
Instructions
- Sift 1 tsp of matcha powder into a small bowl.
- Add 2 oz of hot water (175°F/80°C) to the matcha powder.
- Whisk the matcha vigorously with a bamboo whisk or electric frother until smooth and frothy.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the prepared matcha over the ice.
