- Matcha whisk (chasen)
- Small bowl for matcha
- Milk frother
- Scale
- Thermometer
Ingredients
- 15g medium-roast coffee beans
- 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup hazelnut cream
- 8 oz filtered water
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Grind coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency
- Heat water to 185°F (85°C)
- Set up AeroPress in standard position with filter
- Add coffee grounds to AeroPress
- In a separate bowl, whisk matcha powder with 2 oz hot water until smooth
- Pour matcha mixture into AeroPress
- Add maple syrup
- Fill AeroPress with remaining hot water to the '4' mark
- Stir gently 10 times
- Attach cap and let steep for 1 minute
- Press slowly into your cup
- Froth cold hazelnut cream and top the drink
- Serve immediately
