- Large jar or pitcher
- Coffee filter
- Fine-mesh strainer
- Small saucepan
- Measuring cups and spoons
Ingredients
- 1 cup coarsely ground medium-dark roast coffee
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 4-5 fresh sage leaves
- 1/4 cup honey
- Ice cubes for serving
- Additional blackberries and sage leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Combine ground coffee with cold water in a large jar. Stir gently and refrigerate for 12 hours
- Meanwhile, make the blackberry-sage syrup: Combine blackberries, sage leaves, honey, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan
- Simmer for 10 minutes, mashing berries gently. Strain and cool completely
- Strain the cold brew through a coffee filter twice
- For each drink, combine 3/4 cup cold brew with 2-3 tablespoons blackberry-sage syrup
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh blackberries and sage leaves
