Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 medium ripe pear, diced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 40g medium-dark roast coffee beans, coarsely ground
- 500ml hot water (200°F/93°C)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until golden and nutty, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same pan, add diced pears and brown sugar. Cook until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground coffee to your French press.
- Pour hot water over the grounds and stir gently.
- Place plunger on top and let steep for 4 minutes.
- Slowly press down the plunger.
- Divide coffee between two mugs.
- Add 1 tablespoon brown butter and caramelized pears to each mug.
- Stir gently and finish with a tiny pinch of sea salt.
